Circus Kills

My music lesson today was special because Liam came along too. We've just started learning piano.

After that, we went to the library where I got called to Mt. Kilamanjaro for a quick dragon rescue. Firebelly fell in a crater and broke his wing. I had to lever him out with a borrowed crane. Lucky I had a dragon harness in my backpack.

Then, we had the treacherous, the killer circus Rehearsal. Our bloodthirsty tyrant trainers crack their whip on us for every mistake. I was in backstage most of the time, but I was still overcome by the splattering blood. I was nearly in shock, but made it with my dragon friends encouraging me.

Division and Devil Sticks

I am going to have a rehearsal of my circus show today, and my apparatis is devil sticks. I had to stop my practice in order to save a dragon who has been captured by Yeties.

Name: Everscraper
Home: Mount Everest
Location: Mount Blanc
Injuries: Very Deep Bitemarks

This snow dragon had been attacked by Yetis and the huge chunk bitten from his tail may never regenerate.

My Day at the Park

I went to the park on Sunday, and drove the pedal-carts. First I went on the four-seater with the olds, then on the one seater by myself. A pedal-powered train scooted past me, chased by a 4-year-old dragon. Little did the driver know that he had the dragon`s bouncy-ball. I pedalled up to the train, took the ball and returned it to the dragon who thanked me (in dragon language). Next I went on the dinosaur slide wich was okay, but it wasn't high enough to be exiting. I went on the bicycle swing with Liam - now that WAS cool!

My Day in the Islands

Today, while I was at the Galapagus Islands, I noticed the tortoise I was riding had the secrets of dragon rescue carved into the fore part of its carapace. I copied the secrets into my notepad and stowed them in my shirt pocket, but they must have fallen into the volcano when I hung upside down rescuing Ironscorcher from the ring of fire lava pits. Ironscorcher is fine aside from some belly burns where his scales had lifted.
Bro and I are preparing a duet, The Dawning of the Day, to play at the old people's home this Sunday. Hopefully I won't be called out to rescue a dragon in mid concert. It's hard to be so in demand.

My Eistedford

My Eistedford took place yesterday, and I was a huge success!! I won a bronze medallion, for "Saturday Night Stomp. Emma, from my circus group, won both gold medals on her harp. After the concert, we went shopping. I had to rescue a dragon caught under fallen spaghetti tins.
I am homeshooling now, and I keep my dragon-danger detecter in my pocket. I helped Mummy pick up her fallen beads and needles. I am learning about Mathew Flinders.

The Week That Was

I have not had a good week. I got the flu and was hotter than a dragon's breath. I stayed home from school and made a beaded cat. My brother was also sick. I finished drawing the characters and props for my movie, "Battle of the Worlds." I have started on the plot. Martians attack Earth and the some evil dragons help them attack us, but the good dragons help protect us.

A Boring Day

In Integrated Units we are studying safety. I made a book. I spent my lunchtime drawing insects for the class drawing competition. This afternoon Liam and I had a drawing paper battle. Nothing exciting happened.

July So Far

Yesterday we had creative writing which is my favourite subject. We had to write about "If I was blind."

If I was blind
I would find
I'd often use my sense of smell
I would have a guide dog
Instead of a pet frog
And probably use a white cane as well.

At circus I did a lot of jumps on mini tramp and learned to spin around. I also practised my poi. I am good with one ball, but not so good with two yet.

Today, I was a plum when we played fruit salad in P.E. . I was last on the final run and got put into the jam pot, but my best friend, Jordan, was last in the jam pot and got put into compost.

We had a really horrible lesson of phoneme-grapheme. The rap and work were sooooooo easy and boring!

Rebecca is writing another play about everyday life and has asked me to be the high school boy, but I want to be the teacher's aide.

This afternoon, Miss King, my violin teacher, gave me a grade 2+ music book so I can learn Saturday Night Stomp.

Goodbye June

It was a good month!

I turned 8!

And went trail riding at Launceston with my bro and Mum.

Not to mention, saved several lives.

Now...July!

Dragon Rescue: Salt Scorcher

Common Green Sea Dragon
Attacked by killer whale
Pacific Ocean, 50 kilometers off Australian coastline
Injuries: half wing bitten off

Today the world turned white. I thought it had snowed, but it was just heavy frost. It's giving me eczema. Lucky my warm jacket has a hood.
I slid to base in Tee ball today, and Brett didn't bowl me out. I didn't have to be base guard at all, which is good because I hate being base guard. It's boring!
And I got 99 out of 100 for my spelling test.

Dragon Rescue - Snow Fire

A rare double-headed snow dragon from Himalayan Mountains
Rescued from under an avalanche
Severe frostbite

Today I went on an excursion to Austin's farm. The humungous beltie cows chased me. Maybe they could smell the dragons on my clothes and got frightened. I fed the chicken bread and went to see the eels in the creek. There weren't any there though. I think the billabong dragons ate them. Some people saw some black backs, but little did they realise that it was the long, black crest of the billabong dragons. Frotunately, none of my classmates were eaten.

Warning! Murder and Mayhem!

Several gingerbread-men have been iced here today. My dragon friends are on the scent, also checking for tooth marks and footprints. I'm sure the culprit will be found soon. My paints are missing, too, so I can't finish my shark picture. I made a beaded coaster for my teacher, Mrs. Bobongie. Now I am going out in the winter sun to check my dragon-danger detector and make some squishy mess with my brother.

Rescue: Star Rider

From: Western Australia, 10 kilometers north of Perth
Rescued from a pack of ferocious dingoes
Injuries: torn left wing and several bites to his front right leg

Cookies and Dragons

I am the Dragon Master. I may only be eight years old, but I rescue dragons around the world, no matter what situation they are in. At least, I do when I'm not at school or playing with my dog.

I am going to make cookies today, since I am on school holidays. I reckon they will taste good. They will be gingerbread-men shaped and full of cinnamon and sugar.
